Earth Works and New Horizons
“Earth Works” and “New Horizons“ use subtle textures and expressive colours to illustrate various natural phenomena, such as creation, growth and decay, topography, geology, light, air and the tension between sky and earth on the horizon. The appearance of nature, its rhythms and elements, as we recognise them, becomes the starting point for new pictorial imagery.
The development of new processes of image creation is explored, in an experimental way of working, resulting in the interconnection of different means of expression, e.g. painting and printmaking, complementing each other.”
