Studio

Studio impressions: My studio is a multifunctional room at the top of our house that transforms from a painting studio to a print workshop simply by rearranging tables. An area for mounting and framing prints and storage for paper, card, frames and paintings is kept clean. I have a separate area for computer work und digital printing as well as a side room designated as a workspace for more messy, smelly and dirty jobs like etching, aquatinting and spraying. This room with work surfaces and tool storage is fitted with a large shower basin at sink height for washing and an extractor fan for the fumes. The main room has a printing press for proofing and editioning prints next to an inking-up area with a hotplate. The room is open to the roof and has ample space and loads of north light. Space in a farm-building outside Soest is rented for modelling, metal work and storage.
